DMV-based Emo Punk.

Formed in 2019.

Holiday Death Tribute is an emo punk trio based in Washington, D.C. that takes the familiar sounds of early 90s punk rock and gives them new life. With influences ranging from Green Day, The Cure, and Jeff Buckley, HDT offers high energy punk bangers and angsty ballads for those who need a reason to dance.

Spending the last year playing shows all around the DMV, Holiday Death Tribute has been tirelessly forging a path in the iconic D.C. punk scene. With the release of their five year in the making debut self-titled album, Holiday Death Tribute lays to rest a culmination of work that affirms their prowess in the emo punk sphere. From the dark and twisted punk ballad of “Poster Chick,” reminiscent of a Black Mirror episode meets My Chemical Romance, to the absolutely essential two-minute heater “I Can See You,” their debut album takes you on a complex journey of "marvelous emo sounds that craft an emotional allegory for the meaning of a life well-lived in American suburbia."

Formed in 2019 by Mike Dzambasow (lead singer and guitarist) and co-writer Amanda Lin (lyricist/manager), Holiday Death Tribute gets its name from a holiday decoration with a closer resemblance to a roadside memorial. Inspired by this and the deaths of family and friends at the time, Holiday Death Tribute is, in ways, an actual tribute. With support from fellow DMV musician James Mulholland (drums), you can find HDT causing cathartic mosh pits and existential crises everywhere they go while delivering music that you probably would not share with your mom on Christmas.

hi. we are a punk band heavily influenced by ludwig van beethoven particularly his piano sonata op. 49 no. 2
